D.

Me
As a witness, he tells us about some events that he lived personally.
The Most Holy Virgin Dispelled my Doubts.
Plácido says:
I was very worried one day about a negative event, which I don’t remember anymore, and I went toward the village, where I had arrived by nightfall. The girls were then in ecstasy.
I removed myself to a corner, troubled by my doubts, and I said to myself:
─
atendida. Así que mis dudas tenían
fundamento.
─ “My Lady, so that I may believe that all of this comes from You, make one of the girls give me the crucifix to kiss while I remain in this far removed corner.”
From where I was, I could see a part of what was happening around me without being seen. The girls left the ecstasy without anyone noticing my presence.
Conchita entered her house, where she habitually would come
out of her ecstasy. I experienced a great disappointment and I said that
my prayer to the Virgin had not been attended to. Thus,
my doubts were founded.
Mientras
While I reflected, I saw various people come out of Conchita’s house rapidly, followed by the girl. She came towards me in that corner on the lower level, next to a fountain.
La fuente junto a la casa de
Conchita.
The fountain near Conchita’s house.
This fountain is well known by the visitors. It is a good place to hide, especially at night because of the shadow that falls there.
Conchita gave me the crucifix to kiss three times, which produced a great tranquility in me and dissipated the doubts that I had at that moment.
La
historia del Crucifijo.
Otra
The History of the Crucifix
The other night a truly extraordinary thing occurred to me:
The village, which didn’t have any type of cobblestones, had been converted into a quagmire, as regularly occurred after a good rain.
Mari
Loli, Jacinta y Conchita estaban en éxtasis. Como otras veces, iban andando con
los ojos fijos en el cielo. Cada una de ellas apretaba fuertemente un
crucifijo.
a Conchita:
─
“¡Ah!, ¿tengo que recogerlo? Dime entonces donde está.”
Mari Loli, Jacinta, and Conchita were in ecstasy. Like other times, they walked with their eyes fixed on the sky. Each one of them held a crucifix tightly. Conchita was in the middle. She let go the crucifix from her hand. However they continued walking for about twenty-five or thirty meters and I heard Conchita say:
─ “Oh! I have to pick it up? Tell me where it is then.”
Conchita in ecstasy with the Crucifix, followed by her mother and neighbors of the village.
Entonces
Then the three girls walked backwards until they reached the place where the crucifix had fallen. These backward marches were not unusual. Conchita, with her eyes fixed on the heavens, made a gentle inclination, and lowered her hand towards the ground until she was about 50 centimeters away from it.
It was then that before the attendants and shocked eyes of all of those who observed, the crucifix left the mud by itself and elevated until it reached Conchita’s hand. She immediately grasped it with two hands and continued in her ecstasy.
When the ecstasy ended, I went near the girl to examine her hands. I can declare that I did it immediately after the end of the ecstasy. Neither her hands nor the crucifix had the least trace of mud.
I am prepared to sign this, and I should say that it was seen by many other people, and among them was Mrs. Daniela Cuenca de Los Corrales de Buelna.
Llovía a torrentes.
The Girl Does Not Get Wet When it Rains.
Another thing happened during the course of that very bad night. There was torrential rain. Jacinta fell into ecstasy and I offered to accompany her by myself. They accepted and so I took the opportunity to do a test.
As always, the girl was walking with her head inclined upward, and her hands were closed tightly around a crucifix. It was just the girl and I. I protected her with an umbrella, which had been loaned by a lady in the village.
Mi
My arm, which was supporting the umbrella, passed over the girl’s shoulders, and I said to myself that maybe I could direct her to go where I wanted. My doubts helped me and taking into account the darkness, the rain, and the umbrella which impeded our vision, I repeated to myself that yes, I could lead her in whatever direction I wanted.
I discovered that this wasn’t true by any means, because the girl continued on a path that was completely different from the one on which I had tried to lead her.
I ended up assuring myself that this girl, who lifted her eyes at an incredible angle, must be following a light that I couldn’t see. Since the ecstasy was prolonged and the road was becoming treacherous, my arm grew tired of holding the umbrella so I closed it even though the rain continued unceasingly. I still accompanied her for about twenty minutes so I became soaked to the bone. My feet were swimming inside my shoes.
After twenty minutes, we passed in front of a house that was illuminated by a small electric light bulb, which permitted me to verify in amazement that the shoulders and head of the child were completely dry.
In order to assure myself better, I passed my wet hand over her hair three times, and my hand dried as though on a towel. I attest to all of this and I am prepared to swear it with my hand on the Holy Gospels.

¡La
veo a Ella!
Dice
I See Her!
Plácido says:
One day, I asked Mari Loli what was it that she saw during the ecstasies or visions in her house, since its ceilings are relatively low and with limited space for someone in ecstasy to be looking up.
Me
dijo Mari Loli:
─
Mari Loli said to me:
─ “When I see the Virgin, I don’t see the ceiling of my house, I see Her! She is surrounded by a great light.”
I also asked if the Virgin leaned down to kiss the objects that they offered her, and the girl told me that:
─ “The Virgin does not bend down, but she descends softly from her height until the objects are in front of her lips.”
The Most Holy Virgin Announces a Great Miracle.
The night of Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25 of 1962, there were various ecstasies that Mr. Ruiloba recorded on his recorder. The last one is of Conchita at seven in the morning. She speaks of the miracle, and later after the ecstasy the girl confirmed:
─ “That he Miracle will be at 8:30 in the evening.”
─ “That it will be seen in the sky and it will be so clear that there will be no doubt that it comes from God.”
─ “That the sick who come up that day will be cured.”
Dice
A
no viene.
Conchita says in her diary:
The Most Holy Virgin has announced a great Miracle that God Our Lord will do through her intercession. Since the punishment is very great, as we deserve, the Miracle will also be immensely great, as the world needs.
The Virgin has told me the date of the Miracle and of what it will consist. Eight days before it happens, I have to announce it so that the people will come. The Pope will see it wherever he is and so will Padre Pio. The sick who attend to it will be healed, the sinners will convert, and there will be no doubt that this Miracle comes from God Our Lord through the Virgin’s intercession.
Now we all await the great day of the Miracle to see if the world will change and the punishment will not come.
Fragmento del diario de Conchita
donde se habla del Milagro.
A fragment of Conchita’s diary where she talks about the Miracle.
Dice
una carta de Maximina del 25 de noviembre:
Hoy,
A letter from Maximina on November 25 says:
Today, at 7:30 in the morning, Conchita had an Apparition and the Virgin told her that the Miracle will be at 8:30 in the evening and that the sick will be cured, and that everyone who is in the village will see the Miracle. We will see it even if we are on the outskirts, as long as we are in view of the village because the Miracle will be seen in the sky.
We have had snow, and I wish you could see how the girls were walking on their knees through the Pines and backwards through all the snow! It is painful to watch them. It was also hailing very much and there was a lot of wind, and it was terribly cold…
D.
Dr. Celestino Ortiz, who was there that day, said that after the ecstasy, the girl was radiant with joy. We insisted she give us the date of the Miracle, but she told us that the moment had not arrived yet, that we had to have patience. She said she could only tell the date eight days before, but the Miracle would come for sure because the Virgin had said it, and She could not lie.
We read this in the notes of Fr. Valentín, the pastor:
In the first hours of this morning, November 25, Conchita had an ecstasy in which she said that the Miracle would happen at 8:30 in the evening, the same time that the first Apparition of the Angel happened on June 18, 1961. She also said that during the Miracle the sick would be cured.
Conchita
dice en su diario:
Yo
Conchita said in her diary:
I have also doubted a little that the Miracle would come. Then one day, while I was in my room doubting whether the Miracle would come, I heard a voice that said:
─ “Conchita, don’t doubt that my Son will perform the Miracle.”
I felt it inside as clearly as if I had heard it through my ears, or even better. It was without words. It left with me peace and joy! More than when I saw the Virgin.
Plácido,
primer confidente de las locuciones.
Dice
─
“Y yo, al primero que se lo he dicho, fue a Plácido y luego él ya se lo dijo a
más.
Se
llaman locuciones.
paz. Y entonces, no he vuelto a dudar nada.
me volvieron a hablar! A mí me daba una pena. Pero yo lo comprendía: ¿cómo Dios
me iba a dar tanta felicidad, tan a menudo, sin merecerlo?”
Plácido, the First Confidant of the Locutions
Conchita says in her diary about this locution of the Virgin:
─ “The first person I told was Plácido, and later he told others.
They are called locutions, but they could be called the voice of happiness, the voice of joy, the voice of peace. Since then, I have not doubted. But several days have passed and it has not spoken to me again! This gave me great sorrow. But I could understand it: why would God give me so much happiness so often if I don’t deserve it?
Me
han hecho mucho bien las locuciones. Mucho, mucho. Porque era como si la
Santísima Virgen estuviera dentro de mí. ¡Qué felicidad!...
Prefiero
tan mala! Pero esto es el mundo.
The locutions have done me a lot of good. Very, very much good. It was as if though the Most Holy Virgin was within me. What happiness!
I prefer a locution to an Apparition because a locution happens inside of me. Oh! What joy, to have the Most Holy Virgin inside of me! And what shame, to be such a bad person! But that is the world.
La
fecha del Milagro.
Don
The Date of the Miracle
On January 16, 1963, Mr. Plácido Ruiloba asked Conchita about the letter she wrote to the Bishop:
─ “Did you write the date of the Miracle?”
─ “No, because I did not know it then.”
─ “How long have you known, since last week?”
─ “No, since this week.”
Dice
On Tuesday, January 15 of 1963, Maximina says in a letter:
Conchita came to me and said:
─ “Look, auntie, don’t tell my mom, but today the Angel told me the date of the Miracle… I told the Bishop what it will be, but not the date or other things.”
This date that Conchita speaks about refers to an event that is going to happen in the Church a little before the Miracle. Besides this, the Virgin told her the exact date of the Miracle: the day, month, and year.
The “first” date, “the event,” she has told it to more people, among them, Conchita’s brother Serafín. However, the exact day, month, and year of the Miracle has never been told to anyone. Conchita declared this years later during an interview.
Vivencias inolvidables.
Unforgettable Experiences
Plácido told Dr. Ortiz that at the beginning of the Apparitions, one of the girls had spoken to him after the ecstasy about the state of his conscience as though she was reading it. His wife, Lucita, added that since then, he’d changed a lot.
Aquella
petición a la Santísima Virgen:
─
That petition to the Most Holy Virgin:
─ “My Lady, so that I may believe that all of this comes from You, make the girls come and give me the crucifix to kiss in this far corner.”
Y
la respuesta de la Señora.
Conchita
The response of Our Lady:
Conchita gave me the crucifix to kiss three times, which produced a great tranquility in me and dispelled the doubts that I had had until that moment.
This was a marvelous response from the Most Holy Virgin.
